We are incredibly proud to share that Methods has been named runner-up in the Advocate of the Year - Organisation category at the 2025 British Forces in Business Awards.
In a category filled with large, influential organisations, this recognition is a truly meaningful validation of our ongoing commitment to supporting the armed forces community within Methods.
Since achieving gold status as a forces-friendly employer in 2024, we’ve made it our mission to go beyond policy. We’ve focused on creating a culture where veterans and reservists feel supported, seen, and empowered. From actively developing inclusive policies to building a strong community of interest within our organisation, we continue to evolve our approach to ensure real, lasting impact.
Our GRAVITATE programme remains central to this mission. Every day, we review and refine it in collaboration with our veteran employees, listening to their experiences and acting on their insights. Open, honest conversations are helping us shape a programme that genuinely meets the needs of ex-service personnel transitioning into civilian careers.
This progress wouldn’t be possible without the dedication of our passionate team - Karen Nell, Gareth Jones, Ian Evans, and Dominic Latham - whose leadership and commitment are driving our initiatives forward. We’re also grateful to every veteran and reservist who has brought their skills, discipline, and experience to Methods, enriching our work and delivering exceptional value to our clients.
We extend our heartfelt congratulations to CS PM Consultancy, the winner of this year’s award, and to all the incredible organisations recognised across the categories. And of course, our sincere thanks to the judging panel for acknowledging our continued commitment to the armed forces community.
About the Forces in Business Awards
Now in its eighth year, the Forces in Business Awards is the world’s largest celebration of veterans in business. The awards recognise the outstanding achievements of former service personnel and the employers who champion them. By showcasing successful military-to-civilian transitions, the awards help break down barriers and challenge outdated perceptions.
A standout moment of this year’s ceremony was a moving performance by Colin Thackery, the 95-year-old Korean War veteran and winner of Britain’s Got Talent 2019, who performed three songs to an emotional audience.
