Methods secures £16.2m DWP contract to continue delivery of user-centred design expertise
Methods has been awarded a £16.2m contract with the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) to continue providing User Centred Design (UCD) expertise under the Government Digital and Data (GDaD) framework.
Running from May 2026 to May 2028, the contract sees Methods retain its position as DWP’s UCD resource augmentation partner following a competitive re-tender process. The win builds on a successful two-year engagement, during which Methods deployed more than 60 specialists across DWP’s digital services portfolio.
As one of the largest digital spenders in central government, DWP plays a critical role in delivering essential services to millions of users. Retaining this contract demonstrates the continued strength of Methods’ delivery capability and its position as a trusted partner within the UK public sector.
This latest award adds to a series of recent contract wins for Methods across central government and regional organisations, including the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA), West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA), and His Majesty’s Courts and Tribunals Service (HMCTS).
Lauren Tombs, Digital Director, Methods, said:
“Retaining our partnership with DWP through a competitive re-tender is a strong endorsement of the impact our teams deliver at scale. User-centred design is fundamental to creating services that work for citizens, particularly in complex, high-demand environments like DWP. We’re proud to continue supporting the department to improve outcomes through accessible, user-centred digital services .”
